Resumen:
With the aim to analyze the potential modulation of poverty in early stagesof cognitive development from a neurocognitive perspective; our research groupcarried out several behavioral studies with infants, preschoolers, and school agedchildren from poor and non-poor homes, in different districts of Argentina. Ourcountry has high rates of child poverty and different types of poverty as well. Fortime limitation, I will focus on the first study we made with infants to illustrate howearly in development is possible to find evidences of poverty modulation oncognitive performance. In addition, I will briefly present some similar trends fromour studies with preschoolers.
