Resumen:
Between 1995 and 1996 CLM was registered in all the citrus areas of the Northwestern Argentina. Very rapidly was widespread in all the citrus areas of the country. The aim of the present paper is to know the population dynamics of CLM that should be taken into account when planning any citrus IPM strategy. The occurrence of CLM that should be taken into account when planning any citrus IPM strategy. The occurrence of CLM was studied from 1999 through 2003, at two lemon orchards in Tafi Viejo, Tucumán province. The abundance of CLM was determined by randomly 10 trees weekly. The abundance of CLM was lowest on the spring flush; increased in successive generations during summer and early fall, declined winter. These observation indicate a general decline in levels of CLM populations. The population of CLM was affected for minim temperature and precipitation. High population peaks were also observed in the summer. The dynamics of the population suggests that effort to regulate the pest population would be developed in the spring, were the abundance of the CLM is low, and to prevent the high population peaks in summer.
