Resumen:
In the
present work the generalized CDW-EIS (CDW-EIS II) model is applied to study
total cross sections for single electron capture involving multielectron atomic
targets. The CDW-EIS II model was developed in the framework of the three-body-approximation,
where a given active electron moves under a combined fields of the projectiles
and the residual target considering that the other electrons remain frozen in
their initial state. The interaction between the active electron and the
residual target nucleus is represented by a spherical symmetric model potential
in both the initial and final channels. Therefore bound and continuum target
states result orthogonal wavefunctions.
These
wavefunctions are obtained by solving numerically one electron Schrodinger equations
with Hartree-Fock-Slater model potential.
We apply this
approximation to the study of single electron capture from Li, Ne and Ar
targets by impact of protons.
