Resumen:
This work addresses thedesign of supply chains (SC) for sugar/ethanol production with economic andenvironmental concerns. The design task is formulated as a bi-criterionmixed-integer linear program (MILP) that simultaneously minimizes the totalcost of the network and its environmental performance over the entire lifecycle of the product (i.e., sugar and ethanol). The capabilities of ourapproach are highlighted through a case study based on a real scenario, forwhich a set of Pareto optimal alternatives is calculated.
