General formulation of equations of motion for particles in GR

We present a general approach for the formulation of equations of motion for compact objects in general relativity. The particle is assumed to be moving in a geometric background which in turn is asymptotically flat. By construction, the model incorporates the back reaction due to gravitational radiation generated by the motion of the particle. Our approach differs from other constructions tackling the same kind of problem.
