Resumen:
We study a flare that ocurred on November 28,2001, in active region (AR) 9715. The flare started at 16:34 UT and was accompanied by an H alpha surge. We combine observations taken with the Solar Submillimeter Telescope (SST) in 212 and 405 GHz with data from the H alpha Solar Telescope for Argentina (HASTA). We complement our data with magnetograms from the Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI) and ultraviolet images from the Extreme Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT), to calculate a coronal magnetic field model. H alpha and 212 GHz lightcurves during the impulsive phase of the flare present a notable agreement. From the magnetic field connectivity, we conclude that magnetic reconnection at low coronal and chromospheric level could have been at the origin of the flare and surge, respectively.
