Resumen:
Phase equilibrium data are essential in thechemical and biotechnology industry, and for the development and validation ofthermodynamic models. It is especially important to understand the global phasebehavior of systems within the range of working pressures and temperatures assome systems may display various multiphase equilibria. In a previous paper [1]the phase equilibria of carbon dioxide + n-alkanes series was studied using apredictive correlation based on a three-parameter cubic equation of state.Recently [2], a study on carbon dioxide + cycloalkanes binary systems wasstarted.Inthis work we review and analyze an important amount of data available in theliterature for CO2 + alkane mixtures, with special focus oncomparing the behavior of the corresponding systems for normal, branched, and naphthenicor cyclic isomers, when possible. Some general trends were found and discussed.Inaddition, we present new high pressure measured data for the binary system CO2+ cyclopentane and CO2 + cyclohexane at different temperatures. Thesenew data were successfully correlated with the RKPR EOS. References [1]        M. Cismondi, S.B. Rodríguez-Reartes, J.M.Milanesio, M.S. Zabaloy, Ind. Eng. Chem.
