This paper focuses in strategies and arguments used by daughters and sons? organization to challenge the legitimacy of trials for crimes against humanity and improve the procedural and criminal situation of theirs loved ones. This analysis aims, on one hand, to identify uses and re-significations of the global paradigm of human rights and the universal humanitarian narrative made by these organizations ?its adaptation and vernacularization-; and on other hand, to link this new repertoire of claims and demands maintains with significant aspects of the struggles for memory in Argentina: place of kinship, centrality of the figure of victim and language of suffering. Finally, the paper seeks to contribute to study figures of perpetrator and victim in post-dictatorial societies in a global context of circulation of categories.
