Resumen:
The aim of this chapter is to contribute to the understanding of the relations between a liberal-conservative right wing that, although moderate at the discourse level, did not hesitate to interrupt constitutional legality on several occasions, and a nationalist-reactionary right wing which, while partially integrating itself into majoritarian and popular movements, maintained its distrust and disdain for liberal democracy. In Section 1 we briefly discuss the categories "right" and "far right", and introduce the two main right-wing currents in Argentina. In Section 2, we present a concise historical review of the far-right groups in Argentina during the 20th century in order to highlight the main traits of their political agenda and ideological grammar. In Section 3, we analyse the development of far-right groups in the last decades and discuss their impact on the Argentinean mainstream right. Finally, in Section 4, we recapitulate our main points and make some final considerations.
