This article offers an overview on Argentine rightist parties between 1916 and 1999, intending to comprehend their different attitudes toward democracy. In spite of some essentialist approaches, this article considers illegitimate to characterize Argentine rightist groups of this period as systematically and ideologically anti-democratic. The analytical proposal allows perceiving a wide range of rightist actors? relations with the democratic political regime, which included absolute rejection, loyal opposition and some (not too enthusiastic) support. - Iberoamérica Global está indizada en Dialnet.
