Resumen:
Argentina has launched the first South American ADNI,(Arg-ADNI) effort to acquire data comparable to those gathered throughoutother WW-ADNI centers. The Arg-ADNI team is enrolling volunteers forthis study. It is important to share data across the international research community,to evaluate whether clinical, neuroimaging, genetic and molecularcharacteristics in aging Argentines are similar to those observed in otherglobal ADNI sites. The purpose of this abstract is to describe baseline profilesof 62 Arg-ADNI participants. Methods: This sample includes 62 consecutivelyenrolled ADNI participants comprised of 9 healthy individuals(controls), 37 participants with MCI, and 16 participants with mild dementiaof the Alzheimer?s type (DAT). According to the ADNI protocol, participantswere evaluated in a uniform manner at study entry and longitudinallythereafter. Assessments include a neuropsychological battery and protocolsfor collection of biological fluid s, neuroimaging and quantification of biomarkers.
