Resumen:
In a conventional vehicle carrying passengers, only between 10 and 16% of the fuel used for its progress, the rest is energy wasted on the brakes, transmission, engine, accessories, rolling resistance, aerodynamic drag and slow motion. Of these losses, the greater is the engine magnitude (approximately 63% thereof), which is largely wasted as vibration. This paper focuses on the analysis of available energy which is between the engine and the chassis of a road vehicle Diesel, from acceleration measurements made on it. As a result of analysis of these measurements, one can determine that there is a lot of energy available to be recovered in the form of vibrational energy of the engine. This vibrational energy is characterized by a large number of frequencies excited to each engine speed. Then, by suitable design of a multimodal piezoelectromecánico device may recover a good percentage of wasted energy. Also, as the final and main part of the work, preliminary design computer simulation of the device are developed, to assess the voltage generated depending on the operating conditions of an average vehicle transport
