Resumen:
In the laboratory of limnology of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, we participate in several activities for communicating our research to different audiences. Many PhD, undergraduate students, and researchers from our laboratory are passionately involved in sharing the science of limnology. Every year we participate in the "Week of Biology" where we show to high school students (during 3 days) what limnologists do. Also, every year we participate in the "Night of the Museums" where 1000 people (general public) come to the university during the evening (8 pm to 2 am) and visit our stand where we display activities on limnology for adults (microscope, lens, games) and young (art, painting). We also produced a sticker of a nitrogen fixing Cyanobacteria that we give to the general public, to create awareness of their ecological importance. We produced a Facebook page for this project. Finally, we participate in a program (Didactic Experiences) where high school students become involved in a research project in our laboratory and then present their results to the general public in a conference.
