Morbid obesity is associated with different comorbidities, including dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease (CVD), being bariatric surgery (BS) the most successful therapeutic option. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of BS on lipoprotein quantitative and functional aspects.Twelve months after BS, weight and BMI were significantly reduced.
