Resumen:
The present work is focused on the study of wave activity due to internal gravity waves as a function of the polar vortex position using the Rayleigh LIDAR technique during the southern spring from 2010-2015. These data are compared with satellite measurements provided by MLS, SABER and COSMIC. The position of the polar vortex is characterized by the equivalent latitude and potential vorticity for Río Gallegos, Argentina (51.5 S; 69.1 W).
