From the Special Project to Build an Aerosol Monitoring Network to a SATREPS Project to Create an Atmospheric Environmetal Risk Management Network in Argentina

Two main Projects werethe base of the actual aerosol monitoring network in Argentina. The PEMD31554/11 developed the network over most of the International Airports inArgentina while a second one (a SATREPS (JICA-JST) Project called SAVER.Net)added new lidars and new technology at Punta Arenas Chile as well asinstrumentation over sites close to International Airports in the northern partof Argentina. This work explains this second project as a complement of thefirst one and justifies the aerosol monitoring site selection over a region of20 degrees (latitude) and 16 degrees (longitude) in Argentina
