Resumen:
Recognition algorithms based on wavelet variance technique are used to obtain seasonal statistics on the lidar-retrieved Atmospheric Boundary Layer height (ABLh). These measurements were taken at CEILAP, Villa Martelli in Buenos Aires using a Multiwavelength Raman Rayleigh Lidar. An extensive study is made from 2008 to 2011 focused on lidar geometrical parameter detection. This method is being evaluated as a new tool for the Argentina Lidar Network which is actually being deployed in Patagonia. The technique operates in real time in both low and high aerosol loads and with little human supervision. The results of this work are finally compared with atypical measurements using records in which huge volcanic ash presence was registered.
