Resumen:
Dengue and yellow fever are viral diseases transmitted by mosquitoes; one of them is Aedes albopictus (Skuse). Repellents based on plant-derived products is one alternative to reduce mosquito bites, and prevent infection. Gas-chromatography coupled to electroantennographic detection (GC-EAD) is a useful tool to find components in essential oils that elicit a signal on mosquito antennae which may be good candidates for repellent formulations.
