The Agua de la Piedra Volcanic Co~nplex (.P´C) is an alkallne hi~ilodal aselnhlagl: of pyroclastic and lava Ilows located at the SW area of the Oligo-Miocene Sornun Cur5 Magmatic Province, northern extrandcan Pc~tagonia. This contribu~ion deals nith APVC description: its main facies: petrographic and chemical characterization, and its identity Bsithin the fralneworh of the Cenozoic volcanism of North Patagonia. The APVC is madc of three maill Caciea: 1) a pyroclastic association of trachytic pumiceous Ilows, tuff!, and Interbedded tuffaceous sandstones; 2) ~rachqte and rhqoli~e laas and 3) basaltic lavic facies.
