Resumen:
To evaluate the tolerance of fourgenotypes of Medicago sativa L. to salinity andcadmium, through the study of germination, growth parameters, photosynthetic pigments, and osmocompatible response. Materialsand methods: The experimental design wasa completely randomized design with a factorialarrangement: type of genotype: CW 197, Trinidad87, CW 660 and Salina PV and levelsof saline (NaCl) and cadmium (Cl2Cd) stress.Factorial ANOVA was performed to identifythe influence of stress conditions on the measuredvariables, multiple comparisons analyse ofmeans were performed when a significant effectwas found. Twenty seeds were sown in triplicateirrigated with water (control) and solutionsbetween 10 to 200 mM of NaCl and 100 to500 μM of Cl2Cd for the germination study.Growth, proline, and photosynthetic pigments
