Resumen:
This article compares Argentinean, Brazilian and Chilean rightist groups between the end of WWII and Cuban revolution. Special attention is paid to these parties’ ideological positions and negations (such as anti-communism and anti-populism). The main hypothesis is that liberal right wing tried to assimilate populism to fascism during the first years after the war, but that such idea moved enthusiastically to Cold War anti-communism in Chile and Brazil. Opposite to this, in Argentina, anti-populism (expressed as anti-peronism) ruled during a longer time Liberal right wing’s fears and imaginaries.
