Gradings of matrix algebras and intrinsic fundamental group

In this talk I will comment on the denition of the fundamental group ofa k-algebra and I will compute explicitly the fundamental group of severalalgebras. For this purpose, given a k-algebra A, we will consider the categoryof all connected gradings of A by a group G the relation between gradingsand Galois coverings. This theoretical tool gives information about thefundamental group of A, which allows its computation using complete listsof gradings.
