Resumen:
Tunsgten oxide has been a subject of interest due to is technológical importance in a wide field of various applications. One dimensional nanostructures with high surface to volume ratio have unique physicochemical properties compared to their bulk cunterparts. Especially nanostrutured tunsten oxide is a promising material for application in the field of gas sensing and heterogeneous catalysis. In this contribution we present the studies of physicochemical properties of one-dimensional tunsten oxide nanostructures prepared on Cu(110) single crystal surfaces under UHV condictions.Electron diffraction methods (RHEED, LEED) and scanninge probe microscopes (AFM, STM) were used for inverstigation of structure and morpholgy.Chemical properties were studied by XPS, SXPS and NEXAFS methods. Also the system was analysed fromt a theortical point of view by DFT calculations
