During this presentation the new format and content of the currently developed database of drug resistance mutations in M. tuberculosis. Following the recommendations made by several members of the consortium during the kick-off meeting held in Stockholm in June 2008, the database was changed to a new format in Access. This allowed a more friendly use by the investigator. The database is currently available in the intranet of the consortium and still needs further improvements. Work performed by Beneficiary 8 (Cetrángolo) was also presented in this session and it will be integrated into the current development. Members of the consortium proposed several new developments such as a more graphical user interface (maps), the inclusion of geographical origin of the strains, and the definition of clear inclusion criteria that will be used to feed the database.
