Resumen:
Poverty is an unacceptable reality in any society. It violates the constituent bases of human life and represents the potential loss of people?s being and acting. Although there may be universal requirements for not being poor, it is possible that these required standards may vary from one society to another, from one household to another and even from one individual to another. People?s perceptions constitute an indispensable point of analysis, and subjective indicators could be a good guide to these objectives. In this paper we present the subjective poverty approach; we develop a linguistic subjective indicator of economic welfare and we show an example of its application
