Resumen:
Santa Fe city (Argentina) is located in the alluvial floodplain of Parana River. The city is surrounded by natural wetlands that receive urban runoff effluents that deteriorate their quality. Floating Treatment wetlands (FTW) will be suitable for the treatment of urban runoff effluents which contains several contaminants. The aim of our work was to study the removal of N and P from urban runoff effluents using microcosm-scale FTWs. This type of wetland systems has not yet studied in our country, so it involves studying not only the mechanisms of pollutants removal, but also their design and construction.
