Resumen:
The experiences of solar power generation in the north have had a major impact: settled innorthwest Argentina thousands of home systems that allowed rural people access to electricity. But stillhe could not be generated with these systems an economically viable alternative. It proposes, among otherreasons, that the law is inadequate, since there are some outdated laws that do not apply or are not moni-tored, and a system of subsidies that in context is not favorable. We must also admit that there are stillbarriers to appropriate use of technology. The current national scenario shows that the total installed elec-tricity capacity is about 28,000 MW; primary energy in our country is mostly covered: oil (38%) and gas(51%). Tried to reverse this, installing a 20MW generator, to be located in San Carlos in the CalchaquésValley, Province of Salta, which may occur between a 300000-400000MWh / year, depending on thetechnology, and at a cost that would be around proposed 30 cents or $ kw / h. Given the characteristics ofthe system and the region, this could be expanded modularly.
