Passives Noema und die analytische Interpretation

Føllesdal´s interpretation of the noema attempts to equate Husserl´s notion of the correlate of consciousness with Frege´s concept of sense (Sinn). Even though evidence of such a correspondence may be found in Husserl’s early thinking, we will try to show that it vanishes in genetic phenomenology. We argue that: 1. there is an essentially temporal dimension of the noema, which Føllesdal neglects, namely the passively-constituted momentary appearance; 2. the noema is genetically not an ´abstract´ entity like Frege´s Sinn but a complex ´net´ of actual and horizonal references; 3. the object is interior to the correlate and it functions as a teleological pole of unity, so that it should not be confused with a transcendent object posited by the natural attitude.
