We revisit the Mott transition in a two-dimensional  fermion model with density -density coupling. Using the representation theory of the q-Oscillator and Weyl´s algebras we show the exact correspondence between  the original modeland a Double-Lattice-Chern-Simon theory at the critical point at the level of the Hilbert space. The Transition is characterized as a change in the ground state.
