Selection of the method for the determination of Co in biological samples (blood and urine)

The purpose proposed a methodology of analysis to select an adequatc technique for the quantitative determination of Co in biological samples (blood and urine). A comparative analysis is offered of several atomic spectroscopic techniques such as inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) and inductively couplcd plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), flame (F-AAS) and graphite furnace (GF-AAS) atomic absorption. Detection limits, working analytic range, cost, frequency of analyzed samples. interferences and sample treatment are compared for the different techniques.
