Resumen:
Recently, unusual charge transfer properties of twotriarylamines bridged through an aliphatic bridge (Tröger base) have beenreported. The donor/acceptor couple was shown to have an importantelectronic coupling between its centers for the hole transfer, althoughin the absence of a pi linker. In contrast, we here show, by combiningfirst principles calculations with experimental studies, that the bridgehas a practically null role in coupling the electron transfer. This sharpcontrast might present an interesting potential in the design ofmolecular devices.
