Resumen:
We synthesize different Mg-X alloys (X= Ni, Sn, Ge, Fe, Zn and Cu) by mechanical alloying. We relate the structural changes, the evolution of the microstructure, the thermal behavior and the reactivity with hydrogen with the processing technique and the addition of the alloying elements. The characterization is based on X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TG), hydrogen absorption/desorption kinetics and thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS).
