Resumen:
In this paper we present a set of micro-machined waveguides onto Carbon implanted  planar waveguides. These guiding structures were defined by two consecutive ablation tracks separated about 4 microns. The ablation process was conducted by using femtosecond laser pulses by focusing the fs beam on surface of the crystal at fluences of 10 J/cm2. The guiding performances such as near field and propagation losses were explored in this paper.  Also in order to study the changes inferred by the laser ablation micro –luminescence  experiments were performed. The main features and optical performance for the guiding structures  presented in this paper are also described in this work. The waveguides fabrication procedure presented in this paper can be an interesting tool to obtain several optical circuits by means of fs laser micro-machining experiments.
