We present in this paper a representation of the information held by an economic agent as a modular and dynamic structure. We draw from Computer Science the idea of a database as an adequate formalism to capture this conception. Logics provides also tools to characterize the selection process that chooses a database or class of databases compatible with both the signals of the real world and the constraints imposed by the agent. The idea is to capture the notion of information as a rationalization of the messy and confusing signals of the world. Since no tools exist to do that with precision and exactness in the case of First Order Logic, we appeal to Fuzzy Logic as a plausible alternative. We show that in the latter case, the update process of the information structure is monotone, that is, it verifies the desirable property of being parsimonious as well as being able to handle vagueness and uncertainty.
