Resumen:
We present here a novel approach to the analysis of {em common knowledge} based on category theory. We define a category of knowledge hierarchies along with a monad-like endofunctor which allow to model the notion of common knowledge. Our construction makes use of the notation and the properties entailed by Sergeyev´s numeral system called {em grossone}. Furthermore, we give conditions under which any knowledge hierarchy supports common knowledge.
