In the present study it will be evaluated the incidence that control beliefs have in episodic memory performance and verbal memory self-efficacy beliefs. There were assessed 200 senescent that reside in Buenos Aires city. From the values obtained in the statistical analysis made, it is possible to concluded with a certain margin of error, that it exists a relationship between control beliefs in older adults and their verbal memory performance in a verbal memory test that asses trough the California Verbal Learning Test (CVLT) and with self efficacy beliefs, especially with the dimension self efficacy strength.    Key words: Control beliefs -Aging-Memory. -Self efficacy
