Resumen:
Theeffects produced by the incorporation of silver nanoparticles(Ag-NPs) on the electrical and optical properties of PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3(PZT) thin films were investigated. Spherical nanoparticles withaverage size of ∼4nmwere synthesized from the chemical reduction of AgNO3in ethanol, using PVP as stabilizer. A chemical solution depositionmethod was used for the synthesis of the films, using acetoin as achelating agent. Four different NPs configurations were prepared,according to the following scheme: Inall cases, uniform and dense films with single-phaseperovskite structure weresuccessfully fabricated onPt substrates. The XRD analysis showed that the incorporation of Ag-NPs in samples 3and 4 produce an increase of the (001) crystal orientation. We showedthat the dielectric properties of the films were not significantlyaffected by the inclusion of Ag-NPs. All films displayedwell-saturated hysteresis loops at 50 Hz. An increaseof the ferroelectric response (remnant polarization) was observed insamples 3 and 4, where the Ag- NPs were dispersed in the volume ofthe film.The analysis of the optical properties obtained by reflectancemeasurements revealed a band gap Eg ≈ 3.8 eV, and an increase ofthe extinction coefficient (forwavelengths larger than λ≈350nm) withthe increase of Ag-NPs concentration. p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; direction: ltr; color: #000000; line-height: 115%; text-align: left; orphans: 2; widows: 2 }p.western { font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; so-language: es-ES }p.cjk { font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt; so-language: es-ES }p.ctl { font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt; so-language: ar-SA }p { margin-bottom: 0.25cm; direction: ltr; color: #000000; line-height: 115%; text-align: left; orphans: 2; widows: 2 }p.western { font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 12pt; so-language: es-ES }p.cjk { font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt; so-language: es-ES }p.ctl { font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 12pt; so-language: ar-SA }
