Resumen:
Lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT) is widely used due to its excellentferroelectric and piezoelectric properties. Recently, PZT has also beenstudied for application in photovoltaic devices, since ferroelectricphotovoltaic materials (FE-PV) have unique and interesting properties:stationary photovoltaic response along the polarization direction withoutthe need of a p-n or Schottky junction, switchable-directionphotocurrent, and high photo-induced voltage output witch is not limitedby the energy band gap (anomalous photovoltaic effect)[1]. However, FE-PV materials have low energy conversion efficiency, mostly because oftheir large band gap and small absorption coefficient, which restrain light absorption. Fortunately, their properties can be improved by doping. It has been reported that photocurrent in ferroelectric thin films can be enhanced by the incorporation of nano-scaled oxide particles with a narrow energy gap [2]. In the present work we study the incorporation of Cu2O nanoparticles into PbZr0.52Ti 0.48O3 (PZT) thin films.
