Resumen:
Introduction: Toxoplasma gondii infection in immunosuppressed patients is cause of high mortality and morbidity in patients who do not receive adequate prophylaxis or treatment. Objective: The main purpose of this work was to evaluate the seroprevalence of T. gondii infection in HIV-infected patients in a hospital in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Methods: Retrospective, analytical study in HIV+ individuals older than 16 years, from January to December 2018.Results: 339 HIV+ patients were included. IgG anti-T.gondii antibodies were detected in 27.7 % and no IgM anti-T. gondii antibodies were detected. The highest seroprevalence was observed in the age range between 47-56 years (52.4%) and in patients from the interior of the province (47.7%) with a marked predominance in females. In relation to viral load, seroprevalence ranged between 39.3%-26.9% with increased values in HIV+ men with viral load >400 copies/ml. No marked changes were observed in relation to LTCD4 count (Stages 1-3). In individuals with Stage 3 and viral load >400 copies/ml, the association with Toxoplasmosis was positive (OR=4.32, CI95%:11.74-100.3 p
