Resumen:
highly sensitive and specific Hg-whole-cell biosensor was developed from a non-selective variant of the Au sensor GolS and its regulatory pathway. The performance of this analytical tool was validated under laboratory and field-like conditions. This biosensor can be easyly applied in cost-effective and portable semiquantitative devises to report Hg contamination in water.
