Resumen:
In this contribution, we present the design, characteristics, performance and results of the firstprototype for monitoring the photovoltaic system installed in one of the AMIGA (Auger Muonsand Infill for the Ground Array) stations, a complementary detector for the Pierre Auger Obser-vatory. Part of the study was devoted to characterize the operation of the entire system and tounderstand charge and discharge cycles, the system behavior under different climatic conditionsand to determine its limitations (days of autonomy, times of charge-discharge, current peaks andvoltages). Also, it is demonstrated that the configuration of solar charge controllers in parallelis able to manage panels of different powers and brands and that the monitoring system allowsanalyzing periods with adverse weather conditions by indirect detection of clouds.
