Resumen:
Conclusion JUNV persistent infection in vitro negatively modulates the IFN synthesis of the cells in response to infection with homologous or heterologous virus or to poly (I:C) treatment. This modulation involves the RIG-I receptor, among other probable targets like MDA5 or TLR3. RIG-I modulation is characterized by diminished levels of RIG I mRNA and protein synthesis. Also, RIG-I expression pattern differs from JUNV acutely infected cells to persistently infected cultures either superinfected or treated with IFN.
