Muons in Air Showers at the Pierre Auger Observatory

We present measurements of muons in air showers at ultra-high energies with the Pierre Auger Ob-servatory. The number of muons at the ground in air showers detected at large zenith angles is deter-mined as a function of energy and the results are compared to air shower simulations. Furthermore,using data collected at zenith angles smaller than 60◦, rescaling factors are derived that quantify thedeficit of muon production in air shower simulations.
