Resumen:
We perform an experiment whereby mutually inhibiting electronic analogues of FitzHugh?Nagumo neurons spontaneously synchronize (by effect of noise and coupling) in the presence of a slow sub-threshold harmonic signal. This spatiotemporal self-organization phenomenon is then explained by resort to the system?s ?nonequilibrium potential??defined from the stationary solution of its Fokker?Planck equation?and the adiabatic approximation.
