The Delta´96 large-scale hydromorphodynamic experiments and preliminary results are here presented. This campaign was carried out by the Laboratori d´Enginyeria Maritima (LIM) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and other Spanish and Russian research intitutions within the framework of the CIIRC and the EU FANS international projects.The goal of theses experiments were to study in an integrated manner the metheorological and the hydromorphologynamical processes, the interrelation and dynamic impacton the nearshore.
