Resumen:
It has long been reported the presence of large pleochroic apatite crystal in various igneous environments. Here we address those appearing at several Oligocene to Miocene bimodal volcanic complexes of the Somun Cura Magmatic Province, Northern Patagonia, Argentina. This magmatism initiates with an olivine basaltic plateau stage, followed by a post plateau phase where alkaline to restricted subalkaline volcanic complexes and monogenetic episodes develop.
