Resumen:
The results of an analysis of the remanent magnetism of samples
from the Quiñelaf and Somuncurá formations of Somuncurá Volcanic
Complex (Río Negro Province) are presented. The stable remanent
magnetism polarities and the radiometric ages of the units studies, allow
series of possible correlations of the Earth´s magnetic field during polarity
transitions are distributed along preferential areas, at least from the
Oligocene onwards.
