In this paper I will be concerned with the role of the second person in morality. The plan of the paper is as follows. In the first part, I will try to connect two main ideas of Darwall?s view on morality with the Second Person Perspective on mental attribution, and I will explain why I think both accounts are not as related to each other as they seem to be; in the second part, I will try to show why it seems to me that Darwall?s theory is not a genuine second-personal one; and in the third part I will try to argue that the Second Person leads to moral relativism, a view that I do not think Darwall would like to endorse, but to which I am sympathetic, and I will explain why.
