Resumen:
The surface temperature of riming graupel is avariable involved in many physical processes occurringinside clouds. For example, it controls the density of thegraupel pellets (Macklin, 1962);the ice crystalmultiplication (Hallet and Mossop, 1974); the process ofmelting and shedding from the surface of riminggraupel and hailstones (Rasmussen and Heymsfield,1987); and charge separation during collisions betweenice particles (Avila et al., 1995). The heat and masstransfer process plays an essential role in the surfacetemperature.
