Resumen:
Exploiting the most counter--intuitive aspects of quantum physics
it could be possible to develop a new technology that would
enable us to build "quantum computers". These devices, the ``quantum
Golems'', could be used
to process information in a way which is drastically different from
the manner in which ordinary computers work. Here I will review
some basic ideas behind quantum computation describing the main
obstacles that this new technology faces.
